CARE About Fibroids has published our forth white paper in a series seeking to highlight the challenges facing women living with fibroids. The paper published today titled, “The Financial Impact of Uterine Fibroids” explores the economic implications of fibroids including the loss of productivity for women that costs the U.S. economy $34 billion annually. 

​On December 5th, the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust & the Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls - led by Congresswomen Robin L. Kelly, Yvette Clarke, and Bonnie Watson Coleman - held a briefing to discuss the disparities in Black Women's Reproductive Health. Panelists included as Dr. Regina Benjamin, Former US Surgeon General, Tanika Gray Valbrun, Founder of the White Dress Project, and moderator Brianna Battle from the office of Senator Ed Markey. The briefing brought together advocates, leaders, and experts to raise awareness and develop solutions aimed to reduce these disparities and improve the care of women. 

A new White Paper from CARE About Fibroids details the expanding menu of treatment options for fibroids, ranging from over-the-counter analgesics to major invasive surgical interventions. This comprehensive overview — written for a lay audience — provides readers with an in-depth look of the various symptoms associated with fibroids. ​
