FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 29, 2019 Media Contact: Jenny Rosenberg [email protected] Tanika Gray Valbrun [email protected] CARE About Fibroids applauds U.S. Representatives David Scott (D-GA), Robin Kelly (D-IL), Marcia Fudge (D-OH), Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE-At Large), and Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC-At Large) for their introduction of a Congressional resolution expressing support for the designation of July 2019 as Uterine Fibroids Awareness month. These five key Members of Congress have recognized the need for additional research, treatment, and care options for over 11 million American women living with symptomatic uterine fibroids. By highlighting the importance and increasing awareness of uterine fibroids, we are proud to stand with organizations, such as the White Dress Project, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Black Women’s Health Imperative, and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association to continue to work to raise awareness and improve outcomes for women living with this condition.
CARE About Fibroids applauds these Members of Congress for supporting the designation of Uterine Fibroids Awareness month, and looks forward to continuing to engage with lawmakers on the role of CARE About Fibroids in improving the lives of women living with fibroids. Comments are closed.
