![]() Last Wednesday, CARE About Fibroids’ Executive Director Jenny Rosenberg participated in a monthly twitter chat (#FibroidsChat) with Lakewell Health and Wellbeing, a leading foundation in the United Kingdom working to improve the health and wellbeing of the black community in their country. During the chat, Rosenberg fielded a series of questions from Lakewell Health’s Abi Begho about the work CARE About Fibroids is doing to promote uterine fibroid awareness and education. In her remarks, Rosenberg emphasized the need for increased investment in research and treatment options for uterine fibroids, as well as a dialogue that helps women understand uterine fibroids by going beyond the stigmas sometimes associated with this condition. “On behalf of CARE About Fibroids, I want to thank Abi and Lakewell Health and Wellbeing for inviting us to participate in July’s #fibroidschat,” said Rosenberg. “Regular conversations such as these are important to advancing our mission of raising awareness of and promoting better education around uterine fibroids. We look forward to continuing the conversation with all of our partners so that there is a greater understanding of the impact that uterine fibroids have on women’s health.”
